Sukraloza nastane s kloriranjem molekule saharoze, pri \u010demer se tri hidroksilne skupine v molekularni strukturi nadomestijo z atomi klora. Ta strukturna modifikacija ji daje visoko stopnjo stabilnosti in sladkost, ki dale\u010d presega sladkost saharoze, hkrati pa je \u010dlove\u0161ko telo ne presnavlja, s \u010dimer dose\u017ee svoje lastnosti \"ni\u010d kalorij\".<\/p>\n<p>Ta postopek ne le ohrani naravno sladkost saharoze, temve\u010d tudi prepre\u010di vnos kalorij, kar je glavni razlog, zakaj je postala zdrav nadomestek
